Internationally acclaimed DJ Eric Prydz just announced on his Facebook page on Monday that he is touring in February and March under his PRYDA alias! The PRYDA tour kicks off in DC on February 22nd and goes through NYC, Boston, Toronto, and Chicago. Tickets will go on sale Wednesday, January 23rd, but a specific time has not been announced.
However, for Prydz’s NYC fans, the PRYDA show will be bittersweet. Brooklyn’s Navy Yard Building 28, which has hosted some dance music greats, from Circoloco to Solomun, will be closing after the PRYDA show on February 23. Prydz had requested to play the final show at the Navy Yard in Brooklyn. He brought the venue into the spotlight by playing 2 Adam Beyer Cirez D shows there in late November. We honestly couldn’t think of a better venue for the show.
Prydz had won DJ of the Year in 2017 at the Electronic Music Awards, and tickets for both his tours will certainly sell out fast. NYC fans in particular can expect a very packed crowd, knowing that Navy Yard is set to close after his show.
Are you excited about both of Prydz’ shows, and how do you feel about Navy Yard closing? Let us know in the comments on our Facebook or Instagram!
