The Miami Police Department has released a video about the 5 most important things you should know about Ultra 2019. The video includes details about the new location, transportation options, items that are allowed and prohibited, and some other helpful tips. Location Change
This is probably the most obvious tip and something you should probably know already. This year’s Ultra will not be at Bayfront Park and instead be held at Virginia Key Beach Park.Â
Transportation
There will be NO parking at Virginia Key. The only way you can get to the festival is via shuttle or ferry. The three locations of shuttle pickups are 1431 N.Bayshore Dr, 601 Biscayne BLVD, and3201 SW 1 AVE. For more information, you can visit the Ultra website.
Do’s and Dont’s
You can find a full list of what you can and cannot bring to the festival here. Things NOT allowed are weapons (knives, self-defense sprays), backpacks, purses, stuffed animals, and face masks.
Things you CAN bring include hydration packs, cell phones, sunglasses, hats, fanny packs, and ear plugs.
Have a Plan
Anytime you attend a massive festival it is best to have a plan. Whether this is what artists you want to see or where to meet friends if lost. A good way to remember the location of where you want to meet friends is to take a picture of it. Also, establish a specific time you want to meet up with them.
Know where exits are in case of an emergency. And if you see something, say something. Safety is always the most important thing for everyone at festivals.
Prepare for the Elements
Remember to always stay hydrated. It is very easy to forget so always make sure to have water with you. Bring lots of sunscreen. The Miami sun can be powerful and you don’t want to be sunburn for the whole weekend. And bring bug spray as Virginia Key is prone to bugs. The festival will have bug spray locations as well as water refill locations.
