Mark Sixma – X
Dutch superstar Mark Sixma has become an unstoppable force in the trance scene over the past few years. From making a name in the Dutch EDM scene to moving onto the international stage, his accomplishments are well deserved. He has spawned an endless amount of hit singles with Armada Music such as ‘The Clock‘ and ‘Sphere‘. And out now is his latest track ‘X‘ which celebrates his ten years in partnership with Armada.
A sonic bulldozer, ‘X’ draws inspiration from Beethoven’s ‘Moonlight Sonata’. Starting off with a captivating melody, the track entrances the listener from the get-go. As the track picks up, Mark infuses the song with his signature uplifting synths and electrifying basslines. Here’s what he had to say about the track:
“The exciting thing is: when I go into the studio, I never know for sure what’s going to come out. I always aim for new things and at the same time, my tracks will always be energetic and melodic. Those two are the keywords for me. ‘X’ marks my ten years of working with Armada Music and my dedication to music. It is the first single from my first artist mini album and I was blown away by the crowd at ASOT Madrid when I premiered it. It does show that I am headed in the right direction, I hope!”
