Big Gigantic have finally returned with a single under their personal discography in three years with ‘You’re The One‘. The duo brought on Nevve as a feature on the track. Besides this release, their name popped up in a couple of collaborations and a remix throughout these years. Noting them, they remixed The Knocks‘ ‘Ride Or Die’ in 2018. Following, ‘Like That‘ with NGHTMRE surfaced, and most recently ‘Better Believe It Now‘ alongside Gramatik.
‘You’re The One’ offers a restrained combination of melancholy and funk which demands to be replayed. It doesn’t seem to drift too far from ‘Brighter Future‘ in terms of their sound pallet. However, it certainly looks like the duo’s music is maturing alongside them. In an interview with Billboard, they were asked what the track says regarding where they are in their career. Salken answered;
I think we’re just maturing and going a little deeper. I’m loving it right now. I’m really excited about where we’re at, and the message, and everything that’s happening and to keep it going.
Big Gigantic are also paying it forward across the previous years with A Big Gigantic Difference. As a result, they managed to raise 120,000. Conscious Alliance received $70,000 raised last year alone. Amplifying that, $50,000 were raised by the foundation to buy equipment for a Colorado music school.
