DIRTYBIRD mainstay Ardalan has been a familiar name with the label for years. Today, he’s taken a huge step forward with the announcement of his debut album, Mr. Good. The news also comes with a huge North American tour and the first single off the album, “I Can’t Wait.”
Mr. Good is a coming-of-age story through sound that shines a light on Ardalan’s unique upbringing between his two homes of Iran and San Francisco. The 11-track LP mixes an abundance of genres infused with analog hardware that bring a grounding touch to its sound.
When asked about the release, Ardalan explains:
“‘Mr. Good’ is about a story of self-acceptance. In some cases, we strive to be the perfect person. Yet, we never learn to be ourselves. We and society are forced to wear a mask to hide our true traits and flaws, which are the very reasons that push us to be a better person in this world.”
The Mr. Good Album Release Tour will dive in on September 8 and continue through a whopping 36 stops across the US, hitting some iconic venues including Space Miami, The Great Northern in San Francisco, Vinyl in Denver, Spybar Chicago, Bang Bang in San Diego, and, of course, Dirtybird Campout in Modesto, CA.
