Ben Böhmer is rising through the Anjunadeep ranks with his new melodic house track ‘Breathing‘. He has become a breakout star within these last 18 months with acclaimed singles and remixes.
This piece is moody and dark, an atmosphere he finds solace in. Ben’s work utilizes reflective sounds and uplifting melodic depths. His textures change the tone from dark to light, just like that. You hear a sense of hope throughout the song. It is a perfect addition to the Anjunadeep lineup. Percussion and hard-hitting synths layer between Malou’s voice. An absolutely brilliant emotional piece, if you ask me.
Coincidentally, this title track is the name of his upcoming album as well. It marks the end of chapter in life for Bohmer. He captivates the culmination of his music making process and associated hardships. Highlighting his recovery from a tragic los, this is his coming of age as an artist.
The album contains collaborative pieces with Nils Hoffmann, Malou, Monolink, and Jan Blomqvist. Opening track ‘In Memoriam’ is an emotive blend of powerful strings with stirring vocals. Monolink features on ‘Black Hole’ and Blomqvist lends his vocals to ‘Decade’. Bohmer explores a range of emotions throughout the LP with samples from The Cinematic Orchestra as well.
