Another year in the books for 3-day New York City Based Festival Electric Zoo. The festival took place again this year on Randall’s Island, right off the borough of Manhattan, with the picture perfect NYC skyline set behind Main Stage.
The festival had four stages: Main stage, Hilltop Arena, Riverside & All My Friends. Main Stage of course was the biggest stage and largest crowd of the weekend. The biggest sets to note were from Kaskade, Diplo, Eric Prydz, Zedd, Afrojack, Above & Beyond, Armin van Buuren and Dog Blood (Skrillex + Boys Noize). The stage design continued on last years theme with a neon electric details. At times the lights were difficult to see during the day, but after sunset the visuals and production quality was incredible.
The second largest stage at Electric Zoo was the Hilltop Arena, which was a covered arena in-between the All My Friends & Riverside stages. This stage was branded on Day 2 by Eric Prydz as Pryda arena where Eric Prydz headlined for the second night in a row after closing out the Mainstage on the first night. On Day 3, the stage was branded by NGHTMRE & SLANDER where they presented Gud Vibrations. The Hilltop Arena closed out with massive B2B sets with Boogie T B2B Squnto and of course NGHTMRE B2B SLANDER.
The most unique stage of the festival was Riverside stage. Same design as last year, this stage had a a circular set up and had amazing visuals post nightfall. On Day 1 the stage was branded by Brownies & Lemonade with sets from Getter, 4B, and Yultron. On Day 3 the stage had the biggest of all branded by Seven Lions Presents Ophelia. Seven Lions was a highly anticipated set and did not disappoint.
All My Friends brought their friends to Electric Zoo again this year. Unlike in 2018, the AMF stage remained for all 3-days of the festival. The stage had impressive sets over the weekend from Malaa, Walker & Royce, Wax Motif, Anti Up (Chris Lake + Chris Lorenzo), Solardo, Dom Dolla, Nora En Pure & Camelphat.
Overall, Eric Prydz was the star of the weekend playing three consecutive nights. He closed out Day 1 of the festival headlining Main Stage, Day 2 he headlined his Pryda stage at the Hilltop Arena and Day 3 had his own closing party with Christoph at The Brooklyn Mirage.
