FriendShip, the music cruise presented by AMFAMFAMF, is providing some disaster relief after the wake of Hurricane Dorian. Partnering up with Royal Caribbean and the Pan American Development Foundation (PADF), all entities are asking friends and fans to make donations. The destruction left behind has been substantial.
The cruise sent out this message on their social media this morning:
FriendShip Family, The Bahamas graciously hosts our festival and provides hospitality to FriendShip each year. Our thoughts are with them in Hurricane Dorian’s aftermath. We want to donate more than thoughts to our Friends in need. We’ve done our research on the best route to go; thankfully, we did not have to look far.
Moreover, they need our help in sending materials to those affected by the terrible storm.
Our cruise line partner Royal Caribbean has teamed up with the Pan American Development Foundation (PADF) to provide disaster relief to our Bahamian neighbors and friends in this time of need. Royal Caribbean will be using their ships to help transport food and supplies to the Bahamas.
All participating entities will match up to $500,000 in donations. They just need a little more reciprocation. You can make your donations here.
We’re asking our blossoming community to donate to this cause as we are committed to reciprocating the love back to our Bahamian friends! Friends, let’s come together and do our part to show our support!
With love, FriendShip Team
Your donations cover the reconstruction and recovery of the damaged communities. Families lost their homes and need assistance in re-building their homes, regaining access to services, and re-establishing their lives.
Before anyone sets sail in January, let’s all take some time to help those in need. That is what the music loving community is all about: supporting each other. #bahamasstrong
