Tiësto, known as the Godfather of EDM, has been across the board of genres when it comes to DJing. The guy that needs no introduction and is looked upon highly in the scene, has been DJing for over 20 years. As the writer (and big fan of Tijs) of this article, it is hard to narrow down his best sets into single digits.

From his trance era to his mainstream EDM era, Tiësto brings on his ‘A’ game in every set. Personally, I have seen him 4 times, and every set has been unique and the highlight of the night. In no specific order, here are some of the best sets in his career:

Copenhagen Elements Of Life World Tour (2007)

Four hours of pure trance, progressive house, and live performers. Undoubtedly, Tiësto brought the best of the era into that four hours set in Copenhagen. If you want to show your friend who the “classic” Tiësto is, this set is a great place to start.

Sensation White 2006

This is another classic trance set from the Dutchman. Looking back into his career, this is one of the sets that got him a lot of recognition. Clearly, we can see the energy he is transmitting into the crowd and the perfect symbiotic connection.

Victoria Park 2010

Deemed as the crossover set from trance to modern-day Tiësto, Victoria Park 2010 was a legendary set. The Dutchman introduced his fans to a new sound, a club/festival sound. With trance, house, and progressive house tracks, this set had everything and not one defined genre. Undoubtedly, this is a set every Tiësto fan can enjoy.

Tiësto b2b Hardwell Tomorrowland 2014

The Zero 76 teamed up for an incredible back to back set at Tomorrowland 2014. Playing modern flips of classics such as ‘Silence’, ‘Lethal Industry’, and ‘Adagio for Strings’, Tiësto delivered his modern big room sound. Furthermore, back to back with his hometown friend Hardwell, Tijs delivered a spectacle that brought fans nostalgia.

Tiësto Live at Ultra 2017

If you want to show your friends what the ‘modern’ Tiësto sound is then this is the set that best encapsulates it. With the sunset slot plus the rain, Tij’s 2017 Ultra set was one for the books giving the fans the best of big room and electro-house.

Honorable Mentions

It is truly hard to make a list of Tiësto’s best sets as his over two-decade career has given us endless sets to remember. In our honorable mentions, sets include his legendary Energy 2000 trance set, Dance Terminal 1999, and Ultra 2014.

All in all, Tiësto has given us a lifetime of music from different scopes of EDM. No matter your taste within EDM, you can find a set from the Dutchman that will fit you.
