Due to high winds, event coordinator Cercle has been forced to cancel their event at the Peyragudes ski resort located in the French Pyrenees. Cercle is widely known to hold and broadcast events at unique locations around the world. From the Notre Dame Cathedral in Paris to the Ukraine State Aviation Museum, no sight is left unseen. Unfortunately, attendees traveling to the event were met with the cancellation post on Facebook.

Peyragudes is widely known for its beautiful ski slopes and nearby airport. In fact, the airport was also used as a filming location for the 1977 James Bond film, ‘Tomorrow Never Dies’. Given the altitude of 3,000 meters, the resort is prone to unpredictable and dangerous weather. Techno artist Kevin de Vries was scheduled to host the 1-hour long show, including a post-show interview.
In their Facebook announcement to fans, Cercle states that winds were measured up to 100 Km/h. As a result, it was dangerous and near impossible to set up stage equipment for the event. There would likely also be trouble broadcasting the event live to Facebook with the gusty winds. Sadly, many attendees from numerous parts of the world were already in transit to the event and now left to make new plans. Fortunately, the Cercle team has confirmed that tickets will be refunded with 3-4 business days.
