The final draw ceremony for the UEFA Euro 2020 took place last weekend in Bucharest, Romania. As you may already know, Martin Garrix has been nominated as the official artist for next year’s edition, and he made an appearance during the ceremony.
The Dutch producer joined the stage in a suit-and-tie getup – a quite unusual, but exquisite outfit by the DJ. Martin then talked about his collaboration with UEFA and work on the Euro 2020 official anthem.
Garrix’s best tracks were then played along with the Bucharest Symphony orchestra. The music went on while presenting the 12 host cities of the competition. The tracks were “Animals“, “Scared to be lonely“and “High On Life“.
This isn’t the first time an EDM artist has been the official artist for the Euro competition. In 2016, David Guetta who took this role and played during the closing ceremony.
In addition, next year will be a special one for the European tournament. For the first time in the competition’s 60-year history, UEFA Euro 2020 will be held across the continent, with 12 host countries in all.
