Spotify has hit us right in the feels. With the end of the decade on the horizon and the so-called “Golden Age” of EDM ending, Spotify has released a Best of 2010s playlist for dance music. Hit shuffle and prepare yourself for an emotional journey. Nostalgia will hit you right away as you are immersed in the best dance music had to offer this last decade.
Presented by mint, this playlist really covered every sub-genre of EDM. Most “Top 100” lists end up having all the mainstream dance tracks, but not Spotify’s playlist. They made sure to include all songs that are loved by the whole community. From techno to Big Room and from house to trance, this list is an almost perfect collection of our favorite music. Your feet will move and the tears will flow for sure.
What’s In The Playlist
None other than Avicci leads the list in songs and claims the cover of the playlist. According to many (and us), he had the biggest influence on the industry this decade and took dance music to new levels. Tim had a total of six songs featured and ‘Wake Me Up’ led the way as the first song you’ll hear. His music will live on forever.
Axwell also had six songs on the list but that was spread across two of his remixes, three Swedish House Mafia tracks, and one Axwell Λ Ingrosso track. Also coming in strong on the list was Sebastian Ingrosso with five hits and Alesso and Calvin Harris with four.
Other artists included in the playlist are Deadmau5, Chris Lake, Porter Robinson, David Guetta, The Chainsmokers, Eric Prydz, Kaskade, Above & Beyond, Kygo, ZHU, and so many more.
You gotta check out the “Best Dance of the 2010s” playlist below! It is a trip down memory lane. These songs are the ones we will play for a lifetime and cherish forever.
