Australia is living one of its worst nightmares with the ongoing bushfires across the country. International support is heartwarming, including the electronic music scene that is also contributing. Many artists are calling for donations and raising awareness about what’s happening in Australia.

After months of bushfire, more than 5.9 million hectares (14.7 million acres) have been burned across Australia’s six states — an area larger than the countries of Belgium and Haiti combined. The fires are so big that satellites thousands of miles above Earth can provide imagery of the flames and smoke while volunteer firefighters are working around the clock to stop the disaster.

EDM artists raising awareness

Many celebrities including Electronic music artists from across the world are helping and raising donations.

Showtek, Don Diablo, Steve Aoki, and David Guetta all shared heartbreaking pictures urging their fans to donate and help the fire fighting efforts. They also sent a message to take global warming seriously and lookout after the planet.
