Like each year that goes by, Samsung just held its most important event, the Samsung Unpacked. As you all already know, each new year comes with new tech and advances, and Samsung never ceases to amaze. We know you’re all pretty busy people, so we unwrapped everything worth knowing from today’s reveals.

SAMSUNG GALAXY S20

Galaxy S20 Series

After last year’s Galaxy S10, we directly come up to the Galaxy S20. The company’s flagship device comes in three different versions: S20, S20+ and S20 Ultra – retailing at $999, $1,199 and $1,399, respectively. The key difference in them is the display size- the S20 comes in at 6.2″, S20+ at 6.7″ and S20 Ultra at 6.9″.

The principal technological advance is the camera. The specs look amazing, and the device comes with three of them in the basic version, and four of them on the plus and ultra versions.

The main thing on the S20’s camera is a 64-megapixel telephoto lens. The plus and ultra versions add a depth sensor as well as a 108-megapixel sensor on the wide angle lens for the S20 Ultra. The S20 features a 30x zoom, and the other two include the capability of a 100x zoom. All three of them are capable of shooting 8K video.

Samsung also revealed their ‘Single Take‘ feature, which lets the user shoot a video and choose different options from it. Features include a loop, boomerang, stale shot, gif, etc.

Pre-orders start on February 21st, with the phones arriving in-store on March 6th.

SAMSUNG GALAXY Z FLIP

Flex Mode

After lots of teasing, like the Oscars’ commercial, we can finally stop speculating. The Samsung Galaxy Z Flip was revealed at today’s event, and it’s more than we expected. It will begin shipping out on February 14th and will retail at a starting price of $1,380.

The complete display measures at 6.7″, with a tiny exterior display. As shown in the previous commercial, the exterior display allows the user some small functionalities. You can take a quick selfie, check your battery life or answer calls without opening the phone. The device also supports a third ‘mode’ which resembles a laptop configuration, which they call ‘Flex Mode‘-see image above.

GALAXY BUDS+

Galaxy Buds+

Samsung’s competition for the Apple Airpods are getting revamped. With nothing much of a style change, the real improvement comes in audio quality. They changed their single driver system to a dual one, and they augmented from 2 microphones to 3.

Another great thing about these is the battery, which can last for up to 11 hours with one full charge. The new buds include a charging companion that carries another 11 hours worth of power. If you have a phone with the new functionality ‘PowerShare‘, you can touch your buds with your phone, and you can give them up to another hour of sound.

The buds come out on February 14th for $149.
