Samsung created major buzz on Tuesday with the announcement of their newest edition to the Galaxy line, dubbed the S20, the S20+, and the S20 Ultra.

The new 5g Galaxy phones sport Samsung’s AMOLED ” Infinity-O Display” at 6.2 inches, 6.7 inches, and 6.9 inches, for the S20, S20+ and S20 Ultra, respectively.

Following a smartphone trend from last year, Samsung has really beefed up the cameras on these new phones, and they’re not being shy about it.

The S20+ and S20 Ultra feature quad cameras including a wide-angle, an ultra wide, a telephoto, and Samsung’s proprietary DepthVision Camera.

The wide-angle on the S20 Ultra shoots at a whopping 108 megapixels and also sports a 40 megapixel front-facing camera. Whether you’re snapping selfies before the event or you want to capture video of the entire stage during your favorite song, the S20 Ultra delivers.

Exclusive to the S20 Ultra’s cameras is also a larger sensor with AI integration for better low light performance, so you can catch every detail on stage, even during the last set of the night.

Other New Features

But you don’t have to shell out for the most expensive models to get new features. All three new devices come with an unprecedented 8k video recording capability, the highest resolution video capable from any smartphone on the market.

Also new and available on all devices is Samsung’s new “Super Steady” AI, which they claim “stabilizes video like an action cam”.

However, all of these new features will cost you a pretty penny. The cheapest model, the S20 starts at $1,000. The S20+ is priced at $1,200, and the S20 Ultra comes in at a shocking $1,400.

Samsung’s fancy new phones are expensive. But the features and capabilities packed into the camera make it the best performing one on the market. If Apple doesn’t seriously step up their game this year, their sales will be left in the dust. Will you be purchasing from the new Samsung Galaxy S20 series?
