Seven Lions finally released his first solo production in a year and a half through ‘Only Now‘ featuring Tyler Graves on his own Ophelia Records imprint. Furthermore, it marks the artist’s first release of 2020, and we can only hope to receive more to hear in due time.
‘Only Now’ is a track which consistently unfolds and shapes up elements as it progresses. Kicking off, it immediately illustrates the trance core of the production with melodic ethereal arpeggios. From that point on, the vocals converge with bright resonant piano notes building the track to the riser. In result, the first chorus presents a melodic dubstep sound before going back to a bridge. Onward, ‘Only Now’ grows wider in sound and racks up energy leading into the final build-up. Within a moment, the trance direction perfectly circles into a thumping classic sound nodding back to what made the genre special for many a while ago.
As of now, Seven Lions has a few tour dates lined up in the coming months for North America.
