Following comments on Tiësto‘s recent Instagram, fans learnt that the widely loved regular won’t be making an appearance at Ultra Music Festival (UMF) Miami for the first time in 16 years. Yep, you read that right – 16 years. In fact, barring 2006 Tiësto has been on the line up for the past 20 years.
Scheduled between the 20th – 22nd of March 2020, this will be the 21st year for Ultra Music Festival (UMF) Miami since the first festival in March, 1999.
UMF recently released their Phase 2 line-up, bringing an exciting new wave of B2B sets, live acts and support acts. The final phase of artists is yet to be announced, however it currently boasts crowd pleasers including but not limited to Above & Beyond, Afrojack, Armin van Buuren, Carl Cox, David Guetta, Eric Prydz, Kygo, Madeon and Martin Garrix, just to name a few. View the current line-up here.
There are certain festivals where the reputation precedes the festival itself. Tomorrowland, Coachella, Electric Daisy Carnival and Ultra Music Festival are amongst the infamous list for many music lovers. Fans are often all too happy to fight for a ticket with the confidence that the line-up and production will form an unforgettable experience. Not that UMF 2020 isn’t overflowing with talent already, but we have no doubt that Tiesto’s absence will be felt.
