The progressive house master, Nicky Romero, is back with a brand new collaboration. In 2020, there has been no shortage of records from Nicky. The year started off with ‘I See‘, then ‘Falling‘ with Timmy Trumpet, and then his Redefine EP. Today, he’s back with another record and this time it’s a collaboration with another progressive house legend. ‘Destiny‘, released on Protocol Recordings, is a collaboration with none other than Deniz Koyu. To me, these two have been a dream team in the progressive house world. They teamed up in 2018 for ‘Paradise‘ and the fans have been itching for more ever since.
With a heavy focus on the instrumental and soulful vocals by Alexander Tidebring, this record evolves into powerful and uplifting melodies inspired by the early explosion of EDM in the 2010’s. Nicky Romero closed off his Tomorrowland 2019 mainstage set with this record. Hopefully, we can hear this beautiful tune next year during festival season.
This is the classic Nicky Romero and Deniz Koyu sound mixed into one. To me, it’s everything I want and more when I hear the two names together on a title. The extended mix stretches into an amazing 6-minute tune if the radio edit isn’t enough for fans. You can listen to this progressive house smasher down below.
