You might have missed your chance to win a free burrito from Chipotle last night, but you haven’t missed your chance to listen to Diplo’s new debut Country Album, Diplo Presents Thomas Wesley Chapter 1: Snake Oil. Today, under the moniker Thomas Wesley, Diplo has released 14 tracks that are much different than the Diplo many of us know.
While this “new side” of Diplo shouldn’t come as a shock to many – being that Diplo has been producing country music since April 2019, this LP is very different than all of the others. Coming off the heels of Diplo’s wildly popular song, ‘On My Mind (ft: Sidepiece)‘, you can expect to hear more violins, guitars, and piano playing with a twist of country twang on this latest album.
For those of you who thought this was a joke, Diplo has went and proved us wrong. Not only by producing solid music, but by getting some of the biggest names in country music to join in. Some of the feature artists you can expect to hear are country music stars Thomas Rhett, Zac Brown, and Noah Cyrus. And of course, Lil Nas X. We certainly can’t forget Diplo’s Remix of the extremely popular song, ‘Old Town Road’.
