Canadian Music Festival Ever After has officially been canceled due to safety concerns and the coronavirus. Originally scheduled to take place this weekend, the event will now take place in June 2021.

According to a statement made by Ever After on social media:

“This was not an easy decision to make, however, it is the only viable option given our current global climate.” They continue, “We have analyzed every possible weekend for the remainder of the year, but feel it irresponsible of us to promise an event of +25,000 festival-goers, and jeopardize the health and well being of fans, DJs, the residents of Kitchener, and Ontario as a whole.”

Ticketholders have the option to roll over their passes to Ever After 2021 or 2022. They will also be able to redeem one of the following perks:

  • Free ticket to Ever After 2021 or 2022.
  • 20% discount on 1 additional 3-day festival ticket for EAM21.
  • Free parking pass.
  • $30 credit for EAM21 merchandise.
  • $25 credit for food and drink.

For pass holders who don’t plan to attend any of the future Ever After events, you will have the opportunity to repurpose your ticket. The festival will provide a two-week window (August 10th – 24th) to choose this option. Repurposed tickets will be given priority in the official Ever After Music Festival 2021 ticket sale that will take place on August 28th.

Ever After is another adored festival that has been canceled this week. Both Coachella and Lollapalooza were recently rescheduled to 2021. Certainly, we hope that this cancellation will be the last, but it does seem likely that many more will be affected. Therefore, only time will tell if this pandemic will start to ease in the future.
