If you haven’t heard of Kai Stevens yet, you should get to know the 17 year old wonderkid. The young New York City-based producer & multi-instrumentalist is only a junior in high school but he’s already making some waves in the electronic dance music industry with his unique flavor of melodic dance pop, for which he draws inspiration from his favorite pop punk and electronic artists like Blink-182, The Chainsmokers, and Illenium. Those inspirations can be found in his new dance pop single, “Lonely With Me Tonight.”
Although he’s young he’s surprisingly already been producing for seven years. On top of producing, he also plays piano, guitar, mixes all his own music, and with his last single “The Fire” he added “singer” to his resume. With his last release, the young musician decided to push the boundaries of his artistry by featuring his own voice for the first time.
Prior to that, some of his most notable releases include “Train Tracks” featuring Mary Shannon and “Sometimes” featuring Kimmie Devereux, which have over half a million streams combined. Be sure to keep your eye out for more from Kai throughout 2020!
