Italian duo Moonwalk is a duo to watch, with their Rapture EP out now on Nora En Pure’s imprint, Purified Records. This follows their incredible performances at Purified events in New York and Prague. Now, they’re debuting on one of the most prestigious deep house music labels we know. A momentous occasion to celebrate.
Firstly, it starts off with ‘Rapture‘, the title track that takes you on a sonic voyage of deep, techno-infused soundscapes. The bassline is unyielding and rumbles in your ears, echoing even after it ends. The cosmic synths will bewitch your mind and ensnare your senses. This showcases just how they perform live.
Secondly, ‘When You’re Gone’ is brooding and slowly ignites interest in you as you listen. The enchanting melody paired with celestial synths reel you into a vast atmosphere. As it progresses, you get more tribal sounds intertwined with the chill vibes. As a result, it’s a really interesting piece and you can tell that its ambient tone fits with Nora’s label well.
Dario Vizioli and Mauro Morabello Morabito base themselves out of Milan and have always been huge fans of techno music. We can see that in this EP and now they’re here to flaunt their musical finesse. Starting off playing underground clubs in Naples at night and working up to playing around Europe and South America, these guys are on a roll. This EP also follows their latest EP, The Solaris. devising an otherworldly soundscape with cosmic synths and distorted vocals.
The Neapolitan duo started in 2012, where they’ve worked hard at fresh floor fillers with their music. Their work consists of warm, melodic synths and emotive sounds to give soul to modern house and deep house. Moreover, they uplift the vintage appeal of European electronica with early 80s pop for some really infectious tunes.
