Ibiza seemed to be in the clear at the end of June but is now back on the UK’s Amber list for travel starting today. This means tourists will have to self-isolate for 10 days when returning from their countries on the Amber list. But, fully vaccinated tourists won’t be required to self-isolate upon return to the UK from Amber list countries.
“We’ve seen the rates double and also the rate of positivity of these tests double. [Meaning] that we’re going to need to move quickly, as we said we might always have to do.”

The Balearic Islands saw 304 new cases per 100,000 people last week, with an expected rise to 531 in the next. So, to travel or not to travel? Some won’t miss the chance to get out there after having been locked down for so long. Regardless of money, they’re going. Still, others hold concerns over extra days off after traveling. If you don’t have the PTO, don’t do it. But we understand that you have to see your loved ones. In addition, others find there still isn’t enough information out there about what to do if you catch COVID abroad.
Given all this, Ibiza’s first test club event in June had no new COVID infections. The Sant Antoni area is implementing new restrictions to contain the virus. It states no more than ten sitting outdoors and six indoors at a table. Capacity is limited to 100 indoors and 200 outdoors. All venues must close at 2 am. Prime Minister Pedro Sanchez announced all UK travellers require a negative COVID-19 test or proof of vaccination upon entry to the Balearic Islands.
