In a world where more and more European countries are cancelling their summer festivals, Romania has given the go-ahead to its SAGA Festival. Restrictions for large-scale events have been eased as of August 1st. The Bucharest-born festival will allow for up to 75,000 people coming from all parts of the world.

The Festival will take place over three days from September 10th to the 12th. It will feature state-of-the-art stage designs and audio visual systems that are on the cutting edge. Tiesto, Carl Cox, Nervo, and Fisher will be gracing the stages of SAGA, which is sure to be a highlight of the season.

There is some precaution however. Romanian Prime Minister Florin Citu has stated:

“We have approved the relaxation measures of the restrictions from August 1. Relaxation is a strong word today, because these measures are not relaxed much, many of them are maintained. I would mention the cultural-artistic and entertainment activities organized in open spaces with participation of at most 75.000 people in localities with an incidence less than or equal to 2 per thousand inhabitants. Very important condition – participants must be vaccinated or tested.”

SAGA Safety Measures

In order to be admitted to SAGA festival, attendees must comply with one of three provisions. They must have:

  1. Proof of Vaccination
  2. Proof of Recovery: A Negative Antigen Test in the last 24 hours, dated within 15-180 days of contracting the virus)
  3. A Negative PCR Test in the last 72 Hours

These are all considered means to ensure safety and create a climate of ease and leisure.
