Berlin just lifted their indoor ban and is resuming indoor music events with dancing. From August 20th going forward, people can visit Berlin clubs again as long as they’re vaccinated or recently recovered from COVID-19. The German capital’s clubs have continued outdoor parties since June 18th but ceased indoor dancing operations until now. The Berlin administrative court made this decision in response to a lawsuit filed by a club operator. In addition, the court found that tests do not ensure one’s safety from contracting or spreading the virus or increase protection against infections or progressions. They find gatherings of the aforementioned populations to be manageable.

Currently, there have been 475 new cases in the capital. Six venues in the city partook in a series of indoor test events for 2,000 attendees. It consisted of vaccinated and unvaccinated people unmasked in a non-distanced space that both consented to PCR testing. The events took took place in Salon Zur Wilden Renata, Kitkat, SO36, Crack Bellmer, Festsaal Kreuzberg, and Metropol. We’ve already seen the adaptation of outdoor garden parties including the one at Berghain. New open-air venues nestled lakeside have also opened up.

What’s more, is earlier this month, Berlin hosted a few vaccination parties where attendance was free of charge. Each attendee received the Pfizer-BioNTech vaccine as well. Lastly, Berlin introduced the 3G ruling that permits access to restaurants, gyms, and cinemas for the vaccinated, tested or recently recovered. Bering’s clubbing season is slowly starting to open for business.
