DAY.MVS XL, presented by CRSSD Fest, delivered an exceptional weekend with incredible vibes and even better tunes. As a San Diego local (of 8 years), I can honestly say that this was one of my favorite experiences at Waterfront Park to date – and that is saying something. Luckily, I was able to attend both days of DAY.MVS, and got to experience the different auras from day-to-day. To no surprise, the weather was pristine – and the sunsets did not fail to show off on both Saturday and Sunday.
Day 1
The energy was high on Saturday, with each set packing a different punch. Festival-goers were extremely excited, and although it was crowded, the openness of Waterfront Park allowed for plenty of room to dance in your own space. Food and beverage stands lined the event, providing a plethora of options. Although it was a little bit dusty, that didn’t stop anyone from moving and grooving. The stage setups and visuals were masterful and provided the perfect setting for these artists to throw down on the decks.
Check out some incredible photos down below that capture the essence of Day 1.
FISHER capped off the night with an insanely packed crowd and had everyone going absolutely wild. Needless to say, we were Losing It.
Day 2
Sunday had a different feel to it. It felt like all of the respective sets meshed together seamlessly – and the crowd was loving it. Although DAY.MVS ended an hour earlier on Day 2, there was no shortage of good energy. To the excitement of many, surprise special guest Green Velvet also took the stage on the Southside at 3:00 PM.
Check out some photos below of Day 2.
Lane 8 closed out the 2-day festival with an absolutely epic set – people were vibing as far as the eye could see. This was an immaculate way to top off an insane weekend.
DAY.MVS – An Absolute Success
DAY.MVS was a complete triumph. From start to finish, all artists delivered more than we could have asked for. People were so happy to be back together again, dancing at one of the best venues on the West Coast. From the festival organizers, the storage lockers, the endless food and drink options, and the stacked lineup – this event was an absolute success. I have my fngrs crssd that this event will be back again.
The best part? CRSSD makes its return to San Diego in September. Click here for information on the upcoming event, and check out @crssdfest on Instagram for even more content from DAY.MVS.
