Thunder Beats Festival Cancels Its First Edition

The first iteration of Thunder Beats Festival has been canceled. The organizers made the announcement public on Wednesday afternoon. The debut edition of Thunder Beats was scheduled to take place in Pensacola, Florida, from April 22 to 24.

Back in January, the festival announced its first edition. Surprisingly, the lineup featured a lot of big artists, such as Marshmello, Kaskade, deadmau5, Steve Aoki, Adventure Club, Dillon Francis, RL Grime, etc. In a post to Thunder Beats’ social media accounts, the organizers revealed the struggle behind the production of an event this big. Check out the statement below.

Due to circumstances beyond our control, we have made the difficult decision to cancel Thunder Beats Music Festival for 2022. A lot of hard work and effort was put into the event’s planning, but ultimately if we can not produce Thunder Beats to the high standards we have set for ourselves, we will not do it. We hope to regroup and revisit the concept when we have ample time and resources to produce an event that our fans deserve.

Obviously, the statement itself did not say much. Many commented on the post saying it was the low number of tickets sold that caused the cancellation. The fact that Thunder Beats was in Pensacola seems to be one cause of that problem. Nobody knows what the future holds for the event.

For those of you who need a refund, you don’t have anything to do. In fact, all refunds for Thunder Beats Festival will be issued in the next two weeks. If you have any questions, please feel free to contact the organizers at tickets@thunderbeatsmusicfestival.com.
