EDC New York Moving Back To Citi Field For 2016 Festival

Electric Daisy Carnival founder and CEO Pasquale Rotella surprised a lot of people this morning when he posted a photo to his Instagram teasing that Insomniac would be moving EDC New York from MetLife Stadium in East Rutherford, New Jersey back to Citi Field in Queens. Now, we can confirm his post; Electric Daisy Carnival New York is returning to Citi Field and will move away from Memorial Day Weekend and be held on May 14th and 15th 2016.

The move might come as a surprise to many loyal EDC attendees. Those who attended the festival the last time it was at Citi Field in 2013 will be quick to tell you that the Citi Field event was no comparison to those that have been held at MetLife Stadium. However, EDC has grown a lot in the last three years, and it is unfair to pass judgment on an event that is yet to happen. Insomniac is well known for bringing the highest quality stage design and recruiting world class lineups, so we’ll have to wait and see the result of moving back to Citi Field come May 14th.
