Kaskade & deadmau5 (feat. Skylar Grey) – Beneath With Me V.3
deadmau5 and Kaskade have quite the history together. While they are individually two of the most legendary modern artists in electronic music, their collaborative work still manages to reach new heights. Back in 2008, they dropped two classic songs together, the entrancingly beautiful “I Remember” and “Move For Me.” They have been teasing a new track titled “Beneath With Me” since last May, calling it “a song about a dead person singing to a not dead person to come be dead with them.” Their fans can now rejoice as Kaskade uploaded the newest and most complete version of the song yet.
“Beneath With Me” features the angelic vocals of Skylar Grey, who beautifully complements Kaskade and deadmau5’s distinctly melodic production. deadmau5′ increasingly explosive brand of progressive house seems to have heavily influenced the track, which is more energetic than their previous work while still maintaining its euphoric ambience. However, deadmau5 tweeted his surprise at its upload, saying he used the melody for something else and distancing himself from it with comments like “I didn’t do shit.” Joel eventually came around though, telling Kaskade its “all good in the hood” and to do whatever he has to do. In addition to stopping any potential drama, he even said that the two would release the song however they could.
