Sound Nightclub has been known to consistently host some of the biggest and best house and techno DJs at its home base in Los Angeles. Sound held true to its reputation and threw a pool party with a stacked lineup at Weekend 1 of Coachella. The party, which took place Sunday, featured the likes of Kaz James, Lauren Lane, Maya Jane Coles, Sasha b2b Hot Since 82, and The Martinez Brothers. It was a perfect showcase of Yuma Tent talent – Hot Since 82 and The Martinez Brothers were clearly ready to provide some of the same visceral energy they brought to the Yuma the previous two nights, because they absolutely killed it. The lineup was so good that it subsided some of FOMO the attendees who didn’t have wristbands for Coachella were no doubt feeling all weekend.
Not only was the lineup epic, but there was something to please every type of partygoer. I’ll take you guys through the various breeds of beat-lovers:Â there were those who went all in and had bottle service in their poolside cabanas, true House-a-holics that braved the sweltering heat and got up close and personal to the stage (#frontleft), there were mermaids and mermen showcasing their elegance in the pool, and my personal favorites the free-loaders who didn’t have tickets, but instead, danced from their hotel room balconies.
