Last year Snapchat rolled out an update that allowed users to create custom geofilters and easily add a personal touch to their photos and videos. And now, Snapchat geofilters are finally able to be created in the app.
Previously, creating a geofilter required users to submit their designs to the Snapchat desktop website and go through an approval process. But that is all being simplified with “On-Demand Geofilters.” Now everyone can make personalized filters for parties and events without even having to leave the app – get ready to see the best snaps yet. You can even enjoy those memories longer with the “limitless” snap update.
No graphic design or Photoshop skills are needed with this new feature as Snapchat has templates to choose from with summer themes including 4th of July and graduation. There’s the option to switch up the color schemes, add text, and don’t forget the Bitmojis of you and your friends. However, there will be a fee for this service that depends on how much area the filter will cover and how long it will be up.
The geofilter creation process is now a breeze but make sure those designs are drawn up a few days in advance because they still have to be approved by Snapchat. Go on and throw the party everyone will be too eager to snap.
