Monolink - Black Day (Adam Beyer Remix)

Adam Beyer, Drumcode‘s founder, dropped a remix of Monolink‘s ‘Black Day‘ through Embassy One. The label head teamed up earlier with Bart Skils and Layton Giordani to remix Pete Lazonboy‘s ‘Sacred Circles‘. Furthermore, their collaboration on ‘Space Date‘ received a couple of remixes merely a few weeks ago. Within that, you can hear the remixes by Pleasurekraft and John Monkman bundled alongside ‘Data Point‘.

With all the aforementioned details in mind, Adam Beyer’s remix of ‘Black Day’ certainly hits its mark. It kicks off with a number of percussive elements working in tandem with a thumping kick. As the snares and percussion pile into the remix, it introduces the dormant vocals. This allows the synth and pad layers to paint the track with a mellow yet moving energy.

The track isolates the instrumental aspect sinking it into what feels like a darker sound. Finally, expanding on the track, a rather crunchy bass finds its way into the remix as it moves towards the conclusion. Overall, Beyer maintained his signature sound across the remix and you’ll probably be hearing it played out soon.

As Adam Beyer continues to tour, his curated Drumcode Festival is coming around the corner within a month and a half. The event is set to take place August 24-25. The festival started off with one day, but because of the demand, they expanded into a two festival. On a more recent note, they announced six special B2B sets with three taking place on each day.
