BREAKING: Denmark cancels all festivals during the summer season

Denmark’s Prime Minister Mette Frederiksen announced all COVID restrictions will be lifted on February 1st. While Danish health minister Magnus Heunicke revealed the country still has 46,000 average COVID cases daily, a small percentage of these cases end up in the ICU.

The mask mandate will only remain in place for hospitals, healthcare facilities and elderly homes. The lifted restrictions will allow festivals, concerts, and nightlife to begin to operate normally.

The choice to no longer consider COVID as a “socially critical” disease in Denmark mirrors the sentiment of many other European countries. The Netherlands and Norway are among other countries easing COVID restrictions and slowly beginning the journey to normality.
