Spring is here again, which means another Lane 8 mixtape. We look forward to these every season and this time, it’s chock full of tender tracks to set the mood for the season. It opens with a gentle melody from Le Youth and OCULA’s ‘If Only (You Could Be Here’ featuring the vocals of Nathan Nicholson. Sending off soft sunset vibes, this track perfectly puts you in a great mood.
As you listen, you’ll find tracks from Lexer, Spada, Coeus, D-Formation & Masella, Eelke Kleijn, and more. Fred again.., Romy, and HAAi give some funky yet chill house beats with ‘Lights Out’. What’s more, is its empowering melody transitions to Spada’s ‘Take Me There’ for a deeper sound. Thirty minutes in, the Anjunadeep tones settle with driving basslines and ethereal synths take over. Following that set of sounds is Daniel’s melodic selection of house with tracks from Klur and Biskuwi, before he hands things off to Eelke Kleijn.
In addition, Daniel even includes 12 IDs yet to be named. He is the gift that keeps on giving. The mix is just under three hours long with a ton of music to enjoy and discover. Bonobo gets featured several times with ‘Counterpart’, ‘Age of Phase, and ‘Closer’. Throughout the mix, you’ll find no shortage of sweetness in melodies.
