A couple months back, Seven Lions blew us away in releasing his ‘The Throes of Winter EP.’ The six track EP matched up to the astronomically high standard Seven Lions has set for himself, with standout songs such as ‘Lose Myself,’ ‘December’ and ‘A Way To Say Goodbye.’ Yesterday, ‘The Throes of Winter Remixes’ EP was finally released, which features 7 top notch remixes and a beautiful acoustic version of ‘A Way To Say Goodbye.’

One highlight of the remix package is Puppet‘s take on ‘A Way To Say Goodbye’, which builds with hard-hitting synth stabs and dramatically explodes with energetic electro. Crywolf also delivered a fantastic remix of the track, manipulating the vocals to create an immersive vibe that rewards its listeners with glitchy melodic dubstep. Ricky Mears took it a step farther than Crywolf, as his ‘A Way To Say Goodbye’ remix features absolutely euphoric melodic dubstep and is perhaps the most Seven Lions-esque of any of the remixes. Another standout was Gazzo‘s take on ‘Lose Myself,’ which complements the vocals beautifully with more laid back production punctuated by a heavenly future bass explosion towards the end. Paris Blohm also remixed the track, delivering some excellent progressive house as one can expect from him.

While the Crywolf remix has been left available as a free download, the rest of the EP can be purchased here.
