Dim Mak & Warner Bros. Finalize Powerhouse Partnership
In a recent partnership, Aoki, already part of Warner/Chappell, has brought his Dim Mak Publishing company to Warner Music Group’s publishing division as its global administrator. What this essentially means is that the Dim Mak roster will now be publicized and marketed by Warner Music Group. Some of the bigger Dim Mak names you might recognize are Autoerotique, Garmiani, Henry Fong, Shaun Frank, and Viceroy.
This partnership will allow these up and coming artists to gain more exposure; some of the same type of exposure Steve Aoki garned for the last seven years under WMG. As told by Aoki to Billboard:
“As Dim Mak continues to grow, having the right partners becomes all the more crucial. Warner/Chappell has been important to my development as a songwrite, and now I’m excited to expand that relationship to Dim Mak Publishing’s talented roster of up-and-coming artists.”
The Dim Mak brand was already popular, but with Warner/Chappell helping to publicize the brand even further, there’s no telling how big Dim Mak will become. It will surely be interesting to see how wide spread some of these up and coming artists’ music will grow.
