In yet another power move by the Desert Hearts crew, they’ve just announced a new festival coming to Los Angeles this fall called City Hearts Festival.
The goal with the festival, happening on November 12th at the Los Angeles Center Studios, is to bring the culture and community that exists at their annual off-the-grid Desert Hearts Festival to a new location in LA. It aims to continue the combination of magical vendors, healers, yogis, artists and – of course – nonstop House and Techno that the festival is so well-known for in an entirely new area (one that happens to be smack dab in the middle of one of the biggest cultural hubs on the West Coast).
The event will be open air and feature ten hours of music from the Desert Hearts DJs and friends, including Porkchop, Marbs, Mikey Lion, Lee Reynolds and many more.
City Hearts Festival will also be the launching point for Helping Hearts, a new charity created by the DH team that hopes to active change and social action within the community. Helping Hearts will donate 25% of ticket sales to the Downtown LA Mission and host a day of service prior to the event.
We’re extremely excited to see Desert Hearts continuing to branch out in new ways, with festivals that are more accessible to those who can’t make their annual Desert Hearts Festival in the mountains of San Diego. Along with their ongoing “Take The Ride” tour, we can only imagine that this fall will truly be an epic adventure for their crew – and we’re stoked to be a part of it.
