On the east coast of Florida sits the city of Miami, a tropical paradise for its residents and a dream destination for others scattered across the globe. People flock from every corner of the world to experience the sun-soaked beaches, eclectic art and world-famous night life year round. For Russell Faibisch and Alex Omes, it was the perfect place to host their first Ultra Music Festival 20 years ago.
With only two short weeks to go until Ultra Music Festival, the promo video titled Miami In Motion 2 was just posted to the festival’s social media accounts. Maxx McInerney and Robert Burgoine created the timelapse video set to ODESZA’s track ‘La Ciudad’, which features all that downtown Miami has to offer. The last two minutes of the video are where it really gets exciting. The four-minute film lands at Ultra Music Festival and whether or not you’re attending the festival, this video is ultra-fun to watch. Warning: this promo may induce crazy amounts of jealousy if you’re stuck in the snow.
Ultra has grown from a one day concert on the beach since its inception in 1999 to a three day music festival with 165,000 attendees. The number one festival in the world is celebrating its 20 year anniversary with the mindset that anything that can happen will happen.
If you weren’t able to snag a ticket to the now sold out festival, make sure to check out our Miami Music Week guides to find out where your favorite artists are playing from March 20-26.
