Damian Lazarus & The Ancient Moons made a huge splash when they released their 2015 debut album ‘Vermillion’. After that, the group retreated into the Italian countryside where they recorded last year’s BBC Radio 1 Essential New Tune ‘I Found You’. Now they’ve left everyone in anticipation after delivering their beautiful new track ‘Five Moons’ feat. Chela earlier this year. To whet our appetities for more music for the time being, Jamie Jones & Luciano have come to the rescue with their official remixes of the track.
Jamie Jones was actually discovered by Damian Lazarus back in 2009, when Jamie released his first album on Damian’s Crosstown Rebels label. The album was a huge success and the rest is history. Today, he delivers two remixes for ‘Five Moons’ – Igaza – a nice punchy dancey take on the original, and the ‘Liquid Dub’ mix, full of darker textures.
Ibiza legend Luciano slows the track down a pairs Chela’s beautiful voice with swinging drums and light percussion. It’s a silky smooth take on the original.
