EDX – Sillage
EDX is one of house music’s most preeminent producera and has been around since the mid-90s. He needs no in-depth introduction as his previous singles ‘Feel The Rush’, ‘Jaded’ and ‘Belong’ have received millions of streams. The title of the track ‘Sillage’ fits perfectly with its sound. The terms stands for “the degree to which a perfume’s fragrance lingers in the air when worn” and the song’s chill, yet exotic melodies represent just that. What further characterizes the song is the tribal/jungle elements EDX has added into it. The drum beat and animal sound samples contrast the melodic synths and piano chords resulting in one perfect aural combination. ‘Sillage’ is versatile in that it can be played as a dance-floor track or while lounging around by the pool.
