It’s shocking to think that it has almost been two months since the talented Mac Miller passed away due to an apparent drug overdose. According to a police report from the L.A. County Coroner’s office, the overdose was due to a combination of fentanyl, cocaine, and alcohol. The amount of drugs in his system was determined to be ‘recreational’ as stated from an autopsy obtained by Rolling Stone.
It was public knowledge that Miller had always struggled with substance abuse and addiction. He would often speak about it in talk shows, interviews, and write a lot of his songs about the issue.
Just earlier last week, the Mac Millers Circle Fund, founded under his name, hosted a charity event to honor the late hip hop star. Artists such as Chance The Rapper, SZA, Travis Scott, and many of his friends attended the event to commemorate the impact that he had on the whole music industry.
