Jonas Blue – I Wanna Dance
Jonas Blue needs no introduction. Ever since his 2015 breakout track, ‘Fast Car’, we’ve seen his meteoric rise within the industry. A few years down and he’s racked up 7.5 billion streams and over 40 hit singles. His most recent 2019 collaboration with Tiesto, ‘Ritual’, has almost 50 million streams on Spotify. And now he’s released a new dance-ready single titled, ‘I Wanna Dance’.
‘I Wanna Dance’ is a special release for Jonas – it champions a deep and darker groove that we haven’t seen from him yet. Featuring a hypnotic bassline, bumping percussion, and a catchy vocal hook, it was made to demolish any dance floor.
Here’s what Jonas has to say about the track:
‘I Wanna Dance’ hook actually came to me when I was in bed and just in that lucid moment between consciousness and sleep…,” says Jonas. “I jumped out of bed and recorded a voice note of the vocal hook and I went into the studio the next day fully inspired.”
In addition to being an example of his evolution as a producer, ‘I Wanna Dance’ is the first single released on his new Electronic Nature imprint. Jonas plans to use this platform to channel his clubbier self and feature new talent. It will be exciting to see where this next step takes him on his career. The new track also comes in advance of his I Wanna Dance With North America Tour.
