Diplo is known for many things. Major Lazer, Jack Ü, Silk City, and his label, Mad Decent, just to name a few. Now, he will be known for even more. A second label, centered around house music which will be called Higher Ground.
In a press release, Diplo had the following to say about:
“House is where it all came from … Everything we know and love as dance music today started with the masters in Chicago and Detroit almost 40 years ago. The genre has always been incredibly important to me, and Higher Ground is our homage to the legends and opportunity to champion new sounds and artists from around the world pushing the genre forward.”
The first release on Higher Ground is slated to be ‘[HIGH001] Walker & Royce – ‘Rave Grave‘. Side A will feature Walker & Royce’s ‘Rave Grave’ with VNSSA. Side B is titled ‘The Biznes’. The release date is set for September 4, 2019. You can preview the tracks below, enjoy!
