If you talk about the Amsterdam Dance Event, you are really referring to over 1,000 events, spread across 200 locations. This means there are hard choices to make, especially on a Friday night. We were at the Skyline sessions by Lucas & Steve, and here’s our recap.

The Event

Skyline sessions is an ADE event hosted by Lucas & Steve where they bring home the Future House and Progressive House music. The show traditionally takes place on Friday during ADE and features many big-name DJs from 11 pm to 6 am. Last year for example, 14 DJs were on the line-up including Nicky Romero and Chocolate Puma.

The Venue & Lineup

The fourth Skyline Sessions event took place in Q-Factory in Amsterdam. The place has been home to the skyline Sessions since 2017.

After a successful soldout edition last year, the same successful formula was used. A great venue, scenography, special effects, and line-up, all was in place for attendees to have the best time possible.

Inside, you could enjoy two rooms with carefully handpicked DJs making sure you vibe to the music until early in the morning. The main room had 12 DJs including Lucas & Steve, Jay Hardway, Retrovision, Mesto, Mariana Bo and many other big names from the scene.

The Show

Playing only 30 min sets was necessary taking into consideration the number of DJs and the duration of the event. With only such a little time, all DJs gave everything they had to the crowd, and everyone was loving it.

The performance where the energy was at its peak was the one from Lucas & Steve where they played 1 hour. The Dutch duo did what they do best, bringing-up their finest productions and mashups. CO2 cannons, pyrotechnics, and all special effects in Q factory were in action, giving the crowd the best experience possible.

Choices, especially for a party on ADE’s Friday night are hard to make, and the FOMO is real. One thing is for sure after trying the Skyline Sessions, if you are a fan of Future House and Progressive House, this event will make you want to come back. All the ingredients you need for a memorable night were there.

Conclusion

If the event sold out many weeks before ADE again, it’s because of the high-quality lineup and experience it offers, all for a good price. Skyline Sessions managed to make itself a big name regardless of everything happening in Amsterdam on the same night.

It has everything it takes to continue being an ADE highlight, as it has been the case for the past few years. While we wait for this year’s after-movie, you can check out the one from last year.
