There are some tracks that for some reason take years to get a release, and sometimes never do. One of those is the fan-called “Bliss” and is a collaboration between Years, and -supposedly- Axwell or Axwell Λ Ingrosso. Today, we have news about the release, after almost 5 years since we heard it for the first time.
“Bliss” Appearance:
Let’s take a step back to Ultra Miami 2015 where the track was first played by Axwell Λ Ingrosso. Since then, “Bliss” appeared again on many occasions in the two Swedish DJs’ sets, including their B2B2B with Martin Garrix and Hardwell at Ushuaia Ibiza in 2016 – video below.
Speculations and rumors have circulated multiple times regarding a release date, but no official announcements. In 2017 Amy Thomson – ex-manager of Swedish House Mafia and Axwell Λ Ingrosso – responded to fans requesting the release. Then, she stated that the collab was never meant to be released, and will never be.
Axwell played the ID again at Tomorrowland 2018 during his solo Axtone performance. But since that year everyone seemed to have lost hope.
Years with the good news :
However, the “Bliss” story isn’t over just yet. Years stated in a comment on one of his Instagram posts that the track will FINALLY get a release in 2020.
In addition, the DJ shares in the same post that he will be focusing on his new duo project with Kate named ‘KAY‘.
The exact date of the “Bliss” release is yet to be confirmed. But we are already hyped about this beautiful melody, and such an iconic style of production making a comeback. Who knows—maybe the 2020s will be even bigger for EDM.
