Jason Ross & Seven Lions are back at collaborating again. This time, they bring us their newest piece ‘Known You Before‘ with the beautiful vocals of Emilie Brandt. It is a melodic bass masterpiece, out now on Ophelia Records.
The song showcases each of the producer’s signature sounds. Both come together for a harmonious production. They perfectly compliment Emilie Brandt’s heartfelt lyrics & voice. It starts off with her voice introducing a melodic anthem mood. Right away, you can feel the trance and bass elements about to swoop in.
Then, the track leads with an energizing bass-heavy, melody. Emilie cuts into it with longing and alluring emotion. Synths of trance take it from here. Soon, the track climaxes at its peak with an intoxicating blend of driving bass and melancholic chords. Listening to this could spark some emotion in you, be forewarned.
Ross returns to Ophelia with this third single off his debut studio album ‘1000 Faces‘. This piece is his fourth collaboration with melodic bass stalwart, Seven Lions. ‘Higher Love’ still moves me to this day.
