Hate him or love him, there’s no ignoring him. OWSLA head and one of the most influential producers in the EDM scene at the moment; Sonny Moore, better known as Skrillex has once again made history. OWSLA recently tweeted that Skrillex’ phenomenal Essential Mix on BBC Radio 1 has become the “single most played piece of content in BBC Radio 1 history across all media”
This is hardly surprising considering the loyal fan base that Skrillex has accumulated over the years due to his trademark sounds and his twist on what used to be called Dubstep. Skrillex has been widely criticized for being a catalyst in the degradation of electronic dance music and the Dubstep subgenre, but like it or not this news just proves that he’s here to stay.
