The Chainsmokers just donated 20,000 KN95 masks to hospitals in the US. 10,000 of them went to Weill Cornell Medicine in New York City. 10,000 others went to the University Medical Center in Las Vegas. These two hospitals work hard to help keep people safe and healthy during this time.

With the help of the Diocesan Emergency Task Force, the NYPD, and LVMPD, the masks reached their destinations accordingly.

Both hospitals shared useful information regarding this pandemic. As we all know, our healthcare workers are putting themselves at risk and on the line for those that are sick. As a result, there aren’t enough supplies to help keep them safe.

So, here is how we can help them stay safe during this time while they help us.

Donating Funds and Supplies: Any financial donation helps in research and developing COVID-19 responses. It also goes to research studies, clinical trials, and medical equipment purchases. Any NEW personal protective equipment (N95 masks, surgical masks, face shields, gowns, disinfectant wipes, etc.) help. Ventilators and eye protection are needed as well.

**Do not deliver the items, please contact the hospitals directly first.

Meal Deliveries for Frontline Staff and Childcare Services: The clinical staff work on the front lines of the ICU, Emergency Department, testing labs, and other units and practice sites. They work 12-hour shifts for weeks at a time, in trying to help slow this pandemic down. We can help them by giving them nourishment that they neglect to take.

Overall, cases have hit both these cities the hardest. Any bit of help is appreciated as we continue to fight this pandemic. We can only hope that our collective efforts are making a dent. The donation page for UMC of Las Vegas is here. For Weill Cornell Medicine’s donation page, you can find it here.

Thank you to ALL healthcare workers. Well done Alex and Drew!
