Chance The Rapper – All Night (Louis The Child Remix)
Chicago is currently the epicenter of a hotbed of musical creativity. Hip-hop superstar Chance the Rapper never holds back on the love for his hometown city, and neither do the young electronic duo Louis the Child.
To honor both their hometown and the man who spreads so much positivity around the city, Louis the Child, made up of Freddy Kennett and Robby Hauldren, decided to remix Chance’s ‘All Night’ off his album Coloring Book, released last year. They release this remix in anticipation for a new fall tour.
Speaking with Billboard, Louis the Child said, “Chance is an inspiration and a role model. We love the positivity he puts out into the world.” This line of reasoning certainly fits into their motto of trying to create “music to make you happy.”
Louis the Child’s remix uplifts the original by putting their signature groovy future bass spin on the track. A thumping bass line underlines Chance’s vocals with staggering synths coming to the forefront. The result is a beautiful and reverent tribute to the man who does so much for the duo’s home city.
Louis the Child quickly made waves earlier this year when they dropped their EP Love Is Alive in March on Ultra Music. Before that, they rose to popularity with their feel good anthems like ‘Weekend’ with Icona Pop and ‘It’s Strange’ with K. Flay. The duo is currently sitting pretty with over 50 million streams of their tracks on various streaming services, an impressive feat for any artist, but especially ones of their age.
Catch Louis the Child spreading their positive vibes through your city on their Last to Leave tour this fall. You can view their tour dates below, as well as listen to their remix of ‘All Night.’
